Travel Rotterdam Guidelines |
Rotterdam
is currently struggling with the option to play the third fiddle
after Amsterdam and the Hague. It accumulates much of the European
culture, reconstructs its docksides and generally rejuvenates. Actually
Rotterdam is the second largest seaport in the world and the first
largest on the continent. It houses much of the Dutch economical
infrastructure.
Despite the fact that much of its historical value was demolished in
the years of World War II, it presents much interest to the
tourists for Rotterdam attractions do not finish just on its situation
close to the sea. Those who travel Rotterdam
state that the best place to get a general vein of the city
construction, layout and picturesqueness is from the viewing point of
the Euromast Space Tower, which is the highest point in The
Netherlands: 185m (605ft). The city has some worthwhile museums such as
the Museum Boijmans Van Beuningen. Its visitors can see pieces of art
by the eminent surrealists Magritte and Dali. He who endeavours to
travel Rotterdam in
order to understand its nature from the inside will notice that it has
recently become some kind of Mecca for architects, engineers and
designers who vie with each other redecorating its streets and
buildings. |
